Shanty Bay Golf Club is family owned and operated serving the Barrie and Simcoe County area since 1962. We offer 27 holes spread over 272 acres on the 2nd Line of Oro-Medonte. Minutes from Barrie, we offer a well manicured course, driving range and practice areas, and great food. Come share our rich history and feel the warmth of our mature course!

Shanty Bay Golf Club is committed to providing all Golfers with an exceptional experience at an affordable cost. We strive to capture Golfers attention by focusing on every small detail both on and off the course. We are passionate about achieving 100% Golfer satisfaction through full circle reflection and continuous improvement. Our goal is for every Golfer to have A GREAT DAY!
Our course features 27 holes spread over 272 acres including seven bunkers, four ponds, and traversing willow creek on 10 holes. The vistas are filled with mature trees in a historical setting. We pay attention to every detail. Our greens are meticuously managed, bunkers are maintained, and fairways and boundaries are well defined. We offer four tee deck groupings to challenge all skill levels…..Orange Gold White and Blue.

Superintendent
Hugh Caldwell
Hugh is the Head Superintendent at Shanty Bay Golf Club. He has been at the Club since 1980. He is responsible for leading all of the Grounds Maintenance Staff. He is soley responsible for the spraying and application of all required products. He controls all of the equipment and required maintenance. His beloved dog Milo is often by his side.
Golf Course Manager
Dave Eveleigh
Dave is the Golf Course Manager at Shanty Bay Golf Club. He has been at the Club since 2021. He is responsible to maintain the safety, quality, difficulty, and local competiveness of the course. Dave always looks for opportunities to improve the golfer’s experience. He also remains steadfast to preserve all historical elements of the course itself. Dave also directs and influences all of the information for social media and on-line content.
